What Board Certification Means
Board Certification signifies that our surgeons have:
• completed an approved residency after medical
school,
• have earned prior certification in one of the two
surgical specialties focusing on plastic and
reconstructive surgery,
• have earned prior certification in one of those
specialities through the American Board of Medical
Specialties or the Royal College of Physicians and
Surgeons in Canada.
Our surgeons have successfully completed an oral and written examination, submitted for peer-review an acceptable record of at least two years clinical experience, including operative reports, subscribed to their boards code of ethics, and hold proper licensure. To verify your surgeon's certification, contact either the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery or the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
